Ordered the frame

Okay, I just ordered the frameset tonight! I am going to start gathering some of the parts so it will be ready to build out when the frame arrives.

Not sure yet how I will handle the painting. I would really like to get it powder coated. It just depends on how much the powder coating costs whether I get this done right now. I figure I can always paint it myself with some auto paint from the local parts store. Then later I could strip the parts off of it and get it powder coated during the winter months.

Just getting started

Okay so I finally joined the real world and got one of these cool blog programs. Now what do I do with it?

I thought I would document my construction efforts on a Recumbent bicyle that I am building. For those of you who do not know what a recumbent bicycle is I will offer a quick explanation.

Imagine a lawn chair sitting on top of a bicycle and you will get the general idea. I have never ridden one of them, so I can't tell you for sure how much more comfortable they are then a traditional upright bike, but I understand they are very comfortable.

I am actually buying a kit from Bentechbikes.com, which should greatly increase the speed at which I will get this thing rideable.

At the top of this post is a picture of the bike I will be building so that you have some idea what I am talking about as we go thru this project.
